Sports Fan's Sailing Extended Profile

Hello. I'm the webmaster of this site. I'm a huge sports fan and have set this site up with the hope of finding other passionate sports fans who want to post blogs and share ideas about their favorite teams.

I am a web developer and typically use open source platforms and languages such as Perl, MySql, and PHP. I have used Elgg to power this website (www.elgg.org) and am hoping to start contributing back to the Elgg community with modules that are created for this site.

I've worked on many small to large scale LAMP projects. I've set up many e-commerce sites using OS Commerce (and CRE Loaded, Zen Cart) as well as some custom built ones. I love the open source community which is why I choose Elgg to power this site.

I love using and modifying open source packages and would like to start to work on some open source projects. I'm currently working on several OS Commerce modules which will be available on the OS Commerce site for download and as I build out this site, I hope to start to contribute to the Elgg module base as well.
